PCL Reconstruction

During the surgical reconstruction of the posterior cruciate ligament, your doctor removes the torn ligament. They rebuild it with tissue taken from another body part or a human donor. It can take several months for the transplant to heal. The PCL is one of the four main ligaments in the knee.
